( Sale Sword ) Italian longsword (#98964)

Relative condition: 8/10

Structural integrity: 10/10

Inspired by late 15th and early 16th-century Italian military and dueling swords, this Renaissance Two-Handed Sword captures the elegance and complexity of Transitional Renaissance weapons. Neither a simple single-handed side-sword nor a fully-sized greatsword, this specific geometry provides the user with an impressive reach and powerful leverage. The core of this piece is its highly complex hilt structure. Hand forged from polished steel, the guard features dramatic, downward-curving quillons with floral finial tips.

The extended hilt features a dual-zone wrap: the upper grip near the pommel is meticulously cord-wrapped with fine, burnished copper wiring over a leather base, transitioning into a tightly cord-wrapped dark leather section near the guard. This allows for specific torque control when wielding the blade. The hilt is counterbalanced by a solid, multifaceted hexagonal scent-stopper pommel.

This sword is incredibly well-balanced and nimble, making it ideal for Renaissance historical martial arts form practice and complex cut-and-thrust drills, while its unique architecture makes it a beautiful centerpiece for any arms and armor collection.
