Reason of sale:  This classic 13th C, Northern European medieval short sword was made with part from a previous production. There is a very minor pit on the pommel and guard (see image gallery for details). The sword’s structural integrity is intact. In hand, the sword is truly a fun piece to wield. It is incredibly responsive and well balanced.  This exceptionally agile one-handed short sword, with its diamond shaped hollow ground blade, represents the pinnacle of High Medieval blade geometry. With a its 26-inch blade and a total length of 32.5 inches, this weapon has an incredible responsiveness and would be perfect for close-quarters combat situations prevalent during the 13th century.
