Relative condition: 9/10
Structural integrity: 10/10
Reason of sale: The rapier was made by one of our staff after hours. this was a personal project he made for the pure joy of crafting it.The sword has a slender, elegant blade that leans toward the transition between a late-medieval arming sword and an early Renaissance rapier.
The hilt features a beautifully executed scented-leaf pommel and down-turned quillons that form a partial finger guard—a classic “side-sword” or “estoc” transition.
The rapier is in perfect condition. It has never been used. This is an excellent of the evolution of European Swords. This transitional rapier bridges the gap between the military sword and the civilian dueling weapon. The blade features a deep fuller extending through the mid-section for weight reduction without sacrificing structural integrity. The guard’s unique swept-down geometry offers increased hand protection, making it an ideal choice for practitioners of historical European martial arts or discerning collectors of Renaissance arms.
In hand, the rapier feels like a long extension of one’s own arm, giving extra leverage to pierce through anything in its’ path.
