In Norse mythology Mjölnir is the hammer of Thor, a major Norse god associated with thunder. Mjölnir is depicted in Norse mythology as one of the most fearsome weapons, capable of leveling the most fearsome opponents and armies. Ultimately used by Thor to destroy the Midgard Serpent in the battle of Ragnarök. In his account of Norse mythology Snorri Sturluson describes how the hammer was made by Sindri and Brokkr, two Dwarf borthers.

About 50 specimens of Mjölnir amulets have been found throughout Scandinavia, dating from the 9th to 11th centuries, most commonly discovered in areas with a strong Christian influence including southern Norway, south-eastern Sweden, and Denmark. Due to the similarity of equal-armed, square crosses featuring figures of Christ, the wearing of Thor’s hammers as pendants may have come into fashion in defiance of the square amulets worn by newly converted Christians in the regions.

The Mjolnir is carefully made by Darksword Armory inc. using .925 pure Sterling Silver. The pendant comes with braided necklace, with a .925 Silver clasp.
