					<description><![CDATA[Normally, the 4 to six inches of the blade from the point were sharpened to a strong degree while the remainder of the blade is sharpened to inflict damage in a slash or strike.  this allowed for the use of the tip to cut and Pearce the enemy, but the remaining portion of the blade can parry another weapon with reduced edge damage and still hurt the opponent.]]></description>

The Spanish broadsword was said to be unbreakable, along with the Japanese katana.  Depends on the steel used, and how hard its used.]]></description>
