The Charlemagne sword is made by Marto, Spain. The Charlemagne Sword is made with a 440 stainless steel blade. The bronzed hilt is designed from the original. Charlemagne or Charles the Great, King of Franks, united most of the Western European world during the early Middle Ages. His policies and laws laid the foundations for modern France and Germany. Charlemagne was crowned King in 768 and became King of Italy in 774. On Christmas day, 800 AD, Charlemagne was crowned the first Holy Roman Emperor.
