The new project from Darksword Armory Owner Eyal Azerad - the Raven Chef Knife is a high end, Japanese inspired professional chef knife at an affordable price, Canadian-made with EN 1.4116 German Krupp steel. This traditional Japanese chef knife has been redesigned with more chopping and cutting clearance, with a newly designed bolster angle. This makes the Raven Knife much easier to handle, control and slice - with an ultra sharp-edge.

The Raven Knife comes with our signature Series magnetic knife block.
The magnetic knife block is made with 1" thick super magnets set in Canadian maple stained wood. The double-sided magnetic block can hold up to 8 large knives (4 on each side). The block weights 14 lbs. The super magnets will hold any knife very tightly to avoid any knife drops.

The battle of Agincourt, fought between the French and English forces as part of the hundred years war, took place on October 25th 1415, near Calais. Two months prior, Henry had crossed the English Channel with 11,000 men and laid siege to Harfleur in Normandy. The town surrendered after five weeks of intense siege. The siege however cost Henry V half his men. Given the depleting numbers, he decided to march his army northeast to Calais and return to England. At Agincourt however, a massive French army of 20,000 men stood in his path, greatly outnumbering the exhausted English archers, knights, and men-at-arms...(Read more)

Embossed Scabbard (#5002)

Our premium embossed scabbards are specifically made to fit the following Darksword Armory models : 1303 and 1307. It is appropriate for blades up to 28 inches in length.

Throughout the medieval era, the scabbard was far more than just a protective sheath for a sword; it was a powerful symbol of the owner's wealth, status, and nobility. While the sword itself represented martial prowess and honor, the scabbard served as a canvas for intricate decoration that spoke to the wielder's place in society.

Historically, decorated scabbards were a hallmark of the knightly class and high-ranking nobles. The use of fine materials like high-quality leather, precious metals, and intricate embossing or filigree work was a clear indicator of a person's standing. Patterns were often embossed directly into the leather, as seen in this scabbard, or adorned with fittings made of silver, gold, or bronze. These decorations were not merely for aesthetics; they often carried symbolic meaning, featuring heraldic crests, religious symbols, or stylized motifs that represented the family's lineage or a particular virtue. A beautifully crafted scabbard was a public declaration of the wielder's importance, a wearable work of art that commanded respect and admiration. Our Deluxe Embossed Scabbard pays homage to this rich history, allowing you to carry a piece of that noble tradition.
