What strikes you first, is how visibly handsome this blade is.
When you take it in hand the next thing that strikes is the weight. It is quite heavy, heavier than it should be. This makes it difficult to wield. Also as you swing, the pommel digs into your wrist and does cut. I would recommend gloves.
Overall, sadly I’m a disappointed, it’s handsome but really lacks in ease of use.
Also, and I know it sounds like it’s all negative but the Damascus patten that they went for is one of the least attractive I have seen.
If you want something that looks great on a wall this is for you. But, if you plan on using it in reenactments it’s going to hurt you. I hope this helps.
