Templar Medieval Sword

:: Two Handed Templar Knight Sword ::

The cross on the pommel marks this 14th c. Sword as a Templar Knight’s weapon. The original was believed to have been thrown in the river when the Order of the Temple was dissolved by Edward II in 1314 . At the time, many Templars were executed or imprisoned, and in 1314 the Order's last grand master, Jacques de Molay, was burned at the stake. The sword's embellished pommel, with its decorative cross, was common among the Templar Knights, giving clear indication as to the origins of the sword.

Our Templar Sword is forged from 1060 High Carbon steel and Tempered to a Rockwell of 53. The hilt is fitted with an Iron pommel and cross guard. The handle of this two handed sword is made of wood, wrapped in black leather.
